Directions from I-10 and elsewhere on the East bank: When you get near downtown, follow the signs for the West bank, past the Superdome, and over the CCC (Miss. River Bridge). Take the left fork of the first exit (Gen de Gaulle East); stay in the left lane to take a left at the 1st traffic light (Shirley Dr.); go to the end and take a right on Gen Meyer (in front of the Navy base); go a couple of miles (passed McD’s, Ace Hardware, & a car wash on the right), and the area becomes residential; proceed about a third of a mile and get in the right lane to go right at the next traffic light (Woodland Dr.); then take the 2nd right (Norland). Our house is about the 7th one on the right; it has a small wrought iron balcony and tan shutters.
