Jazz Fest Tickets for First Church Pledgers!

As has been true for a number of years, the church will be eligible for some free Jazz Fest tickets for this year’s festival (April 25-27, May 1-4). As of right now, we do not know exactly how many tickets we will receive; this is something out of our control.

We know that that many First Churchers could not go to Jazz Fest except for the free tickets, and we know that many more First Churchers would be financially more comfortable with free tickets, even though they might be able to afford to buy some. With so many folks wanting free tickets, and the church to receive a limited number, the Board of Trustees has decided on an equitable way to distribute those tickets.

The name of every person, member or friend, who is a First Church Pledger will be placed into a container, and the names will be drawn out at random. Please note that ONLY Pledgers will be eligible! (If you contribute without pledging, this might be a good time to turn your regular contribution into a Pledge! And if you’ve been thinking about pledging, but haven’t done so yet, this is a great time to get it done.)

As the names are drawn, the “winners” will be notified by phone and email. If that person already has tickets, or doesn’t want to go, another name will be drawn from the Pledgers Pot, until all the free tickets have been distributed.
