Church Rummage Sale, Weekend June 13-14

This is the weekend to help with an all church rummage sale at FUUNO. Items for the sale may be dropped off any time after noon on Friday June 13th. (If you come before 1 p.m., please use the Soniat street or Claiborne entrances, and look for us in the front (Claiborne Street) hallway. After 1 p.m. we will be in the Fellowship Hall and can open the back (Story street) doors for items to be brought directly into the hall. Remember: NO CLOTHES will be accepted. Anything else is welcome.

Helpers are needed to set up, sort and price from noon until 8 p.m. Friday. Stop by at any time and help out for an hour or two. This is a good chance to "preview" the goods.

On Saturday, the first shift workers should report at 8 a.m. to the Soniat St. doors. If not open, please knock or ring the bell. We may need to keep it locked so that early birds don't get in before we are ready. We will open the back doors to shoppers at 9 a.m. sharp, and you will be free to leave at noon or shortly thereafter.

Afternoon volunteers should arrive no later than noon (a few minutes earlier would be nice for transition). The sale closes at 2 p.m. All remaining items will be discounted near the end of the sale, but we cannot hold items for discounts. After 2 p.m. we will pack and dispose of all remaining items, hopefully completing this task by 4 p.m. If you can help transport those items, let me know. If you are aware of any organizations that will accept donated remainders, please let me know that as well. Assistants are welcome whether or not you have signed up in advance.

Hopefully we will raise several thousand dollars for the church operating budget, AND simplify our lives at the same time. If this works well, we may do it again in late summer/ early fall.
Questions, comments, concerns? Please call Ann via the church office. Please also spread the word about the sale to friends, neighbors, and co-workers. We will have an ad in the times picayune and on Craigslist.

Thanks!
Ann
