Katrina Anniversary Dinner
Saturday, August 30, 2008
6 p.m. at First Church
5212 S. Claiborne Ave.(corner of Jefferson Ave.)

Please put the Katrina Anniversary Dinner, a potluck dinner, on your calendar. We've invited folks from other UU churches in Louisiana and Mississippi. This is a ritual dinner and is modeled on the Passover seder. Rev. Melanie Morel-Ensminger and Rev. Jim VanderWeele are planning the ritual.

Our friends at Community Church are taking on the set-up and decorations--Carol Chapman is our hero. Contact her at carolcc0905@yahoo.com if you want to help.
The First Church (FUUNO) community is organizing the meal. Alice Abel Kemp is signing up folks to supply food. You may sign up at FUUNO on Sundays or email her at aliceakemp@mac.com We’re collecting names for salads, vegetable (vegetarian) dishes, meat and casseroles, and deserts, as well as volunteers for clean-up. We want you'all good cooks to sign up to bring your favorite dish.

Come join us to celebrate our progress and honor the past.

Blessings,
Alice Abel Kemp
