free chocolate!
Yes, I want you to come to the church on Saturday afternoon so that I can give you some chocolate, but here's why:
We are experiencing an exciting population explosion among our children and youth! Last Sunday, we had 15 children in attendance and 9 high school youth. Hey, that's a lot! And it's wonderful. And it emphasizes that the time is right for a larger portion of the congregation to step up and teach Religious Education classes. Please consider giving one or two Sundays a month to our younger folks.
This Saturday, all senior high youth (14 and over) and adults who are interested in volunteering with our RE program this year are invited to join us for a Teacher Orientation Tea Party, at 2 PM, in the large classroom of the church. Tasty treats will be provided, but of course more are always welcome. This will be a great opportunity to get to know each other, the curricula and our space, and it's also a time to pick up some key information about being part of RE programs in our congregation.
We plan to go until 4 PM; childcare is available upon request. Please let me know by Friday if you will be needing childcare for the event.
