A DAY OF HEALING

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9
  • 10:30 AM Sunday Service - Rev. Melanie Morel-Ensminger
  • 12 PM Potluck Dinner
  • 1 - 3 PM Healing Workship

Join us for a day of healing. There is much to put to rest in our daily lives, so set this day aside to soothe and mend, and learn new skills to cope with the ongoing journey.

Please bring a dish for the Potluck.

Rev. Melanie will preside over the Sunday Service. Marie O’Neil is our workshop leader. Amina/Rae Horton will lead us in a closing Dance of Peace.

This day is for you. Come, come, whoever you are!

Mind-body skills are simple, powerful, and effective tools for healing and dealing with every day stress, anxiety, life changes, illness, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; easy to learn and incorporate into your life, and teach friends and family. The Mind-body medicine approach to health and well-being takes into account our physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

Mind-body skills you will learn in the November 9th service & afternoon workshop include:
• Yoga – develop strength, balance, and flexibility in body and mind
• Meditation - learn to live a peaceful, content, and mindful life
• Guided Imagery - use your imagination to help your mind & body heal
• Biofeedback - learn to use your body’s natural abilities to relax
• Breath Work - enhance your health by breathing more fully
• Movement - become aware of your body’s natural responses, release stress and increase energy
• Progressive muscle relaxation – teach the muscles and nervous system to relax
