Next Sunday, October 28, the children and youth will be observing Halloween and Samhain during our religious education class time. We will be celebrating with games, snacks and stories, and winding it all up with our long standing tradition of carving pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns. Costumes are encouraged but not required! This will be an active and messy session, so please keep that in mind when choosing how to dress.
People of all ages are welcome to join us for these activities - just get in touch with Coleen Murphy, Director of Religious Education (re@firstuuno.org 866-9010) with your questions or to volunteer. We could use many helping hands for this Sunday.
For folks who would like to help out without missing the worship service, we are seeking some volunteer pumpkin "gutters" to help us out around 10 AM. This involves scooping out the insides of the pumpkins so that they will be ready for us to go to work on when the children come back to the classroom.
