"For Goodness Sake"
The Rev. Melanie Morel-Ensminger
A recent New York Times Sunday Magazine article explored where the human moral sense comes from -- is it acquired? Is it innate? How does it fit into evolutionary theory? This Sunday, Rev. Melanie will look at why we human beings act for the greater good.

"Self-Empowerment Through Music"
Guest Speaker: Mr. Phil Jones
Australian sound therapist Phil Jones will be our pulpit guest for this special service that utilizes the music of the aboriginal didgeridoo, as well as other instruments. New Orleanians already know that music can be both healing and empowering -- come learn more about how music can enhance your life and strengthen your spirit.
Following the service and after lunch, Mr. Jones will lead a workshop called "Discovering the Sacredness of Breath and Sound" that will teach participants how to play the didgeridoo, which he will provide. Learn circular breathing techniques and explore the power of your own breath. Interested participants will be able to purchase their own didgeridoo, but this is not a requirement.

"Neither the Day nor the Hour"
The Rev. Melanie Morel-Ensminger
Very very few people are ever given warning about the time of their death. Most of us tend to live carelessly, as if we had all the time in the world. But we know neither the day nor the hour of our death -- so how should we be living our lives?
