Let’s gather in Audubon Park between the Tree of Life (known to some folks as the Grandmother Oak) and the Labyrinth, off Magazine Street, at 1:30 pm for a special shared intergenerational service, with an outdoor luncheon to follow. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on, as well as food to share as we celebrate the earth, spring, and our close relationship with the UUs of Community Church and North Shore. NOTE special start time of 1:30 pm!

“Universalism: Past, Present and Powerful”
Guest Minister: The Rev. Kalen Fristad
The history and significance of the teaching of universalism yesterday and today. Rev. Kalen Fristad is an ordained Methodist minister. After serving churches in Iowa for 27 years he embarked upon an independent ministry from 2003-2006. Currently Rev. Kalen serves churches in Iowa, while he continues to travel to speak to churches and other groups, countering the teaching that God sends many people to hell for ever and instead, proclaiming the hopeful message of universalism.
