Join us for a Mind-Body Skills Group

Mind-body skills are the single most important and best documented way to deal with the stress that contributes to chronic illness. Mind-Body Skills groups will empower your growth through effective research proven skills such as
· Meditation - learn to live a content and mindful life
· Guided Imagery - use your imagination to help your mind & body heal)
· Biofeedback - learn to use your body's natural abilities to relax
· Breath Work - enhance your health by breathing more fully
· Movement - become aware of your body's natural responses, release stress and increase energy

Mind-Body Skills groups help people transform the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions of their lives.

Who may participate: Residents of a Katrina or Rita - affected area at time of Hurricanes. The group is limited to the first 10 enrollees.

When: Starting April 17, 2008, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. The group will meet for ten weeks. Participants are asked to commit to attending all sessions.

Where: 4640 S. Carrollton Avenue – two blocks from Canal Street

Cost: Free of charge for participants, paid for by a grant from the Louisiana Family Recovery Corps.

Facilitators: Heidi Huber, NPC and Marie O'Neil, LCSW, both having completed the Center for Mind-Body Medicine Professional Training Program
