Campaign Co-Chair Kim Crawford Harvie was in New Orleans recently and worked with the GNOOUU campaign leadership on pursing large congregations for our campaign. A new phase of our work is proceeding with these contacts. We are offering to make personal visits to congregations and social justice committees and send materials for Mardi-Gras-type fund-raisers to churches who might be able to contribute.

Thus far, the campaign has donations and pledges totaling $781,585. First Church has already received $ 101,000 from the campaign and there is another $35,330 for our building fund on its way to us from the Southwest District, which is managing the campaign finances. More to come, hopefully, soon!
