Autumn in Religious Education

Autumn has seen our youngest children making their own chalices, our elementary agers exploring the world of science and invention, our middle schoolers discussing philosophy over pancakes and our high school youth traveling together to the district youth rally in Texas. Meanwhile, thanks to the hard work of many wonderful volunteers, our nursery has a beautiful new floor!

This Sunday, November 23, the whole congregation will come together for
our annual Thanksgiving Bread Communion service at 10:30. Please bring
some bread (pre-sliced) to share that reflects your family heritage and
traditions.

Following the service this week, all are welcome to join the youth
group in tuning in to a live webchat with UUA President Rev. Bill
Sinkford, as he broadcasts from his tour of Africa. The chat is
scheduled to begin at 1 PM. More information can be found here:

The following week, November 30, our Sunday service will focus on our
rituals, hopes, dreams & traditions involving trees: Christmas Trees,
Mitten Trees... This service will be lively and interactive, with
something for all ages. Come ready to sing, celebrate and trim a tree or
two.

Sunday school classes will resume on December 7. All kinds of assistance with the religious education program is enthusiastically welcomed! Please contact the Director of Religious Education at re@firstuuno.org
