CANVASS NOTES

The 2009 stewardship canvass campaign will begin on Sunday, September 14th. Our theme will be "Hitting the High Notes and All That Jazz". The Canvass Committee will be calling upon members to be canvassers and asking for volunteers for the Canvass dinner, which will be a celebratory event in mid-October. Canvass is the time when we ask all members and friends to pledge financial support for the upcoming calendar year. We hope that all of you will want to be "in that number" as we solidify our planning for 2009. Those who are unable to make financial commitments will be encouraged to pledge support in other ways.

If you are willing to serve as a canvasser, please contact one of us. Canvass orientation will be on Saturday September 13th. We also are still seeking one or two more people to work on the canvass planning team. A successful canvass takes concentrated, organized efforts for a short period of time, and we would love to have someone else, possibly a newcomer, to help us. We look forward to connecting with everyone as we gather those high notes into a lively song of support.
